TRANSMISSION 003 - THE STRUGGLE
Hello. Welcome back to my velvet room. It's been some time since we've last spoken, and for that I apologize. A lot has been going on lately, not even just me personally, but in the world. Regardless, I'm glad to write to you all again.
The site seems to have been a hit with some of you, I appreciate all the kind words and criticisms I have received. Feel free to continue interacting with the site and letting me know how you feel about it, always a pleasure. Not much has changed on here, but I am planning a site revamp sometime in the near or distant future, but you can expect something a bit more lively next time. A hint was actually written in this message for what the next theme will follow! Anyway, enough about the site let's talk about something more substantial.
I'm at something of a crossroads in life. As is typical for any young 20 something year old's in today's society. Although celebrating my birthday was an awesome experience and a load of fun, because in all honesty I had never expected to get this far, it pushed me to think about where do we go from here. In a world where coffee costs you $7, houses are being bought up by corporations, and you can't even legally own a video game anymore. It's very scary, isn't it? I think about these things from time to time, and it's always just as daunting. A world where dreams and aspirations are left to dust, and people's only true desire is to survive. People have lost the liberty to choose a path for themselves.
To hell with all of that, I am a firm believer in living a fulfilled life. A life that feels meaningful and of value, and of course to everyone that can mean something different. It's truly a beautiful thing about human beings, it's all subjective. Some may find money fulfilling, others may say service to others, maybe even art and it's emotions. We all have different definitions of what gives a life value, but never forget that you even being alive, means your life is valuable. I just wanted to write today to spread some hope to you, viewer. Never forget this, regardless of where you're at in life or what you may be feeling in this moment, it's never over. Fate and destiny may be cruel, but you have the ultimate control and decisions to make something of your life. You can bend life's will to your favor, as long as you try. As with all darkness, there is light somewhere.
This transmission got very existential but I have been struggling a bit with this very topic on my own. Sometimes in life we must remind ourselves of these things. Spreading altruism in times of depressive episodes, like my own, always serve as a personal form of therapy. A symbol of hope is needed. Here's to hoping this message may reach one of you, and maybe change your perspective on things. I am always here for anyone who may be struggling, it will always work out, no matter what. But let's keep fighting until we get there, cool?
Always yours, THE RECEPTIONIST
